There's no reason to do the national anthem before the game. It just wastes time.

Well done. That's pretty incredible that ESPN could dictate the playing of the national anthem. And well done by the players for joining in as well.

Cause dem ESPN folk hate dey country and da Cajuns and won't call us by our make believe name and make us start da game at a certain time even though we ain't sung da anthem yet. Never mind da fact tha Boodreaux could have started da tape 2 minutes earlier.

because we assumed that the national anthem would be played via loudspeaker. however, when the team ran out to start warm-ups, we noticed that it wasn't gonna be played. so, we took it upon ourselves to just do it.

Blame that on the school, not the fans.
Also, I have a feeling it was a deal where the teams were about to take the field as per usual when someone came in the box and said "Hey we don't have time for the anthem, so have the teams start warmups right now."

The NCAA runs all post season events. Not up to the school at all
