I'm sure we'll forget about it. Not so sure about his teammates.

The obvious explanation being that he took the video in order to expose his teammate because....???

Well you guys were the ones saying how the trust was irreparably broken over what Russell did. But somehow you'd be ok with a teammate that fricked one of your teammate's wife, as if he wouldn't have any compunctions about fricking your wife also
I don't really think that's how the human mind works. It takes two, and most people, especially athletes, aren't walking around thinking its a possibility that their wife gets railed by someone else.

Plus, everyone has fricked someone who they shouldn't have. Everyone knows what goes into it, why it happens, and what it means most of the time. What Parker did is relatable. Obviously it's not ideal, but that shite happens.

What Russell did...doesn't happen. It should literally never happen. Not a single person on that team can even wrap their mind around why this new kid would do that.

It can't be an obvious explanation if you can't explain it

Well, apparently Tony Parker's teammates have?

I'm assuming that story is legit, don't even remember it.

Ok, I'll amend my answer.

Because he's a dumbass.

That should wrap that explanation up nice and tight for you.

I'm pretty sure Tim doesn't care because he gives Tony bedroom eyes.

And Tony had 3 rings and 1 Finals MVP when that came out. I don't know how much that changes things, but I think it would be foolish to think it's completely irrelevant.

Maybe. But it goes back to my point, if Russell is good, they'll forget as long as it shows remorse and...doesn't do it again.

Well one reason why it hasn't ever happened before is that interactive social media is still relatively new, and people are creating new ways all the time to use it to do stupid things.

In any event, the only thing Russell can do is apologize, and play well. He does those things he has a chance to put this behind him.

You don't need social media to secretly record a teammate incriminating himself.

But I'm saying the timeline matters because there was at least something there already, a foundation, if you will.

The Lakers are trying to build something and Russell just cracked the foundation. Can you build on top of that to get to the Promised Land? I don't know.

Tony's explanation to his teammates is simple: "I was horny and she was fine."

Russell's explanation to his teammates is what? "I was collecting dirt for future use."

Yea I feel like people are overlooking that this isn't an isolated incident. There were already trust issues in that locker room before all this came out, and Byron Scott even publicly called Russell an immature child earlier this season.

If you already don't trust someone, and THEN something like this happens...

If he leaked it, you're right, he's a huge dumbass. But I doubt that and it certainly doesn't seem like the obvious explanation to me.

No. It's an explanation every man can understand. Doesn't make it right, but it makes sense.

What can Russell's explanation possibly be?

Russell is the foundation, he and Randle. Everyone else is pretty much expendable.
