@McCannSportsLaw

The risk for Michigan in firing Connor Stalions is he’s no longer under their control and he could be more willing to share emails, texts & other info. A fired employee can also have an ax to grind. He could find a legal claim to sue, too (though he’s likely an at-will employee).

“Where did they get the evidence from?”

Balas: they weren’t at liberty to share

“What was the evidence?”

Balas: I don’t know

“If your sources are wrong will you own it?”

Balas: I would but they aren’t.

If all that is true, it might be in Michigan's best interest to suspend Harbaugh for a game or two. But I still expect him on the sidelines against you guys

The UM 247 site is melting down from what the On3 insider is posting.

It's lit.

Michigan insider saying a 2 game suspension from B1G likely coming Sunday or Monday.

Suspend him for 2 games so he's back just in time for the OSU and all the intrigue, headlines, drama and ratings that will come with it.

Where's that dipshit who was saying he totally played football and changing signs at halftime was no big deal?

frick suspensions.

I'd like to see them forfeit all of 2021 and 2022, and see how they stack up when they don't know our plays.

Has to be emails and texts, likely from one of the many others this dummy was hiring

From UM insider sunshine pumper Sam Webb:

The Big 10 doesn't just want Jim suspended, it wants his head. That is clear. They came in with a more drastic tone than anyone was expecting. That being said, I haven't been told Michigan is acquiesing to the mob.

I'll be working the phones late into the night on this, but wanted to say something to you guys now.

I won't tell you there's nothing to be concerned about. There is. But I will tell you I haven't been told the battle is over. Not yet.

So, breathe. I'll have something late tonight. Maybe super late depending on how many conversations I have. There will definitely be an update by the time you non night-owls wake up early in the morning.

So what's stopping them? This is why I'm skeptical about all these insider reports. The big can suspend him now if they wanted to.

Balas:

Chris Balas said Warde Manuel was not at the meeting.

"The Big Ten threatened nuclear options" after presenting new evidence. But "what they really seem to want is Jim." We'll see what Michigan's next move is. Some still want to fight. Some believe/hope President Santa Ono still will.”

As we've said, in these kinds of cases, it's about stacking good days together. Today ... wasn't one of those. If Michigan doesn't act on Jim Harbaugh — and it hasn't yet, and as we've said the plan is for him to coach Saturday night — sources believe the Big Ten could levy an "indefinite suspension" as soon as Monday, after which Harbaugh's only recourse would be to file an injunction to keep coaching. If he gets the right judge, he could continue coaching for months as long as Michigan supports him.

We do believe President Santa Ono could support that, even with the new evidence emerging (which is likely to claim at least one more assistant coach at the end of the year). If anything else damaging comes out, though, they probably wouldn't have a choice. And again, the NCAA has just started its investigation. Again, as some present said, "if he didn't know, he should have." And the Big Ten came out swinging and didn't back down. They made some big threats. I think some are interested to see if they are ready to back those up.
