optouts make bowl results for comparison purposes a waste of time...

I doubt Kirk is fretting much about a meaningless bowl game.

When ESPN props up the Big Ten, fans get mad. When ESPN props up the SEC, fans get mad.

I’m not sure what Kirk can say that would gain favor with anybody on this board.

Stop simping. OU got beat by a team that has no NIL and no transfer portal. Think about that.

I don’t think anyone is simping for OU here except maybe their fans. But to act like this game can be used a a measuring stick for, well anything, shows everyoke how dumb you are.

I wasn't "simping" for anyone.... I made a statement that I believe is reasonable and for the most part accurate...

Just about every bowl participant had opt-outs at some level... whether they were relevant for that specific game, I don't know and I don't care enough to evaluate every player's impact.

Maybe you need to check your "over-reactions"

SEC had its chance to take half the spots. A&M, Ole Miss, Bama, South Carolina all lost games they should have won.

The SEC eats itself every year

If Indiana, SMU, Penn State, freaking Boise or Notre Dame had to play an SEC schedule every year they would be .500 at best.

Well this is certainly an original argument but there is not a universal “SEC schedule” UGA this year had a brutal schedule (last year their schedule was a joke) but Texas did not. Penn St and Notre Dame would have done the same as Texas with that schedule.

Maybe the committee was right- after UGA and Texas, the SEC was trash this year.

UGA lost Ole Miss and Alabama

Texas avoided Ole Miss, Alabama, SC, tenn, LSU and Mizzou.
