True Stats Points Scored Per Game (Minus Free Throws)
Durant
9 Within 9 Feet Per Game
12.7 Outside 9 Feet Per Game
9.7 Outside 16 Feet Per Game

Lebron
12.2 Within 9 Feet PPG
8.8 Outside 9 Feet PPG
7.2 Outside 16 Feet PPG

So Lebron Scores 3.4 More around the rim than Outside... Durant 3.7 more outside than inside

thats a difference of 7.1. plenty to show a difference between their styles

It's 7.25.

2.3 makes from 16-23. 1.7 makes from 3 point land.

Not even sure why it's gotten to this point. It doesn't matter where you score from, it's where you start.

Answer this, Derrick Rose and Tony parker and those guys, are they perimeter players? If not, what are they, post players?

dude, 3 pointers are worth 3 points each

i'll do the math for you...
1.7*3=5.1
2.3*2=4.6

That is 9.7 Points

That's 31 points not counting free throws. Durant doesn't even average that many ppg dude.

Again, 25% of Lebron's points come from 16 feet out. 25.9% of KD's points come from 16 feet out. Those are the numbers man, not sure what else to tell you.

Why are you still trying to make this argument? He's still a perimeter player, less so this season because he's finally playing in a mid post a bit. But the majority of his possessions begin from the perimeter. That means he's a perimeter player.

Is he a predominantly an outside scorer? No, but he's still a perimeter player. He stands in the corner a lot. He brings the ball up. He rarely posts up in the low block. I don't know why you're being so stubborn about this. It's okay to be wrong about something. Just move on.

I was never talking about 9 feet.

i'll go a different route, again, Tony parker/Derrick Rose, perimeter players?

Remember they are point guards lol.

Fine, but again what does this have to do with this thread anyway? I never understood that.

i should have said outside scorers to be more clear in what i meant and not confuse it with the term they use for guards and SFs

As much as I can, which isn't much with 8 month old twins lol.

I see you online all the time. We tried an online association but there was too much shite wrong.

Offline or whatever against the cpu, I just play on All Star, I find that is super realistic.

i've been doing, when i have time, a ton of the Online Match Play with friends, that shite is addictive. Only problem, the last 3 or 4 nights I've tried, I'm the only one who gets disconnected in the 1st minute every time. No clue why. Sucks.

we strayed from the thread and i said i might would like to have durant in a 1 possession clutch situation because he is a better outside scorer and refs tend to swallow their whistles in the paint in those situations

LeBron is not clutch.

he has RECENTLY disappeared in the 4th quarter in the playoffs.

He did well his rookie year, but he cant seem to find his rhythm on the Heat. Maybe they are going to be so much better than the other teams that he wont feel the tightness. I think he either choked or was VERY unlucky in the playoffs last year.
DWade is the man. not LeBron. LeBron is going to leave Miami if he does not get a ring soon with DWade. His contract will end soon.

True, but that hasn't been apparent in their career late game shooting percentages.

And when you look at the outside shooting percentages I posted earlier, the overall difference isn't as great as the perception of their abilities would lead you to believe.

I think Durant has a better chance of making any individual shot, but if LeBron has made a few already, I think I'd pick him. He seems more streaky.

Though to be honest, I think I'd pass on both of these guys with 1 shot and pick Melo.
