Dennis Eckersly disagrees so does his MVP

I never said it didn't or wouldn't happen. I just said it shouldn't. Starting pitchers maintain their dominance for 200+ innings a year. Closers, maybe 60 or 70

The closers are under a tremendous amount of pressure and the media and fans allow for little if no error before blasting them. I'm pretty sure lidge is the first closer to not blow a save and win a world series.

Lincecum deserves it, for him to do what he did on that shitty arse Giants team. You take him off the team and might break record for losses in a season.
The dude had 0 run support all year with that anemic offense.

I’m a huge fan of Webb, but wins are a terrible way to judge pitchers. Not that he didn’t have other great stats. But I’d vote for Lincecum. That dude is a capital F freak. He’s probably my favorite non-Oriole player in all of baseball. I love watching him pitch.

He's definitely my favorite non reds player, been watching him since his first start last year. Lil ball of power, which will increase his career length because he's not all arm, like say um kerry wood.

Congrats to Lincecum. It's hard to overstate how bad the Giants would've been without him. Hell, they were putrid with him. He's both an incredible talent and unique - a rare combination.

I am indeed. I love bad ball hitters. Which is odd, as a disciple of Moneyball. But bad ball hitters are exciting. But Lincecum is a freak. He's so much fun because I think he's about to throw his arm out at any moment.
