because they do not want them to win the conference their last year? Seems to be the case.

All they have to do is beat CO and they're in the title game.

They called penalties because Nebraska committed penalties... end of story.

That said, the flag discrepancy (16-2, in favor of Texas A&M) doesn't tell the whole story. Both pass interference calls and the PI that officials initially flagged on Texas A&M but later waved off were the right calls, and Nebraska was flagged for just one holding penalty, football's most subjective penalty. The vast majority of the Huskers' other penalties were personal fouls, false starts or illegal procedures. Those are mental errors, not conspiring flag-tossers with a mandate from league headquarters in (gasp!) Texas.

Did the refs swallow their whistles on more than a few aggy holding penalties? Sure, but like they always say you can call holding on every play if you really want to.
The 2 penalties late that Nebraska keeps pointing to as "game changers" were, but they were also the right call.
Should aTm have had more penalties? Yeah they should have. Would it have made a difference? Probably. Was it a conspiracy by the Big XII to hold down Nebraska? Nope.

The roughing the passer on Tanneyhill was just absurd it cost NU the game they were off the field until that call

It was called because the NU player lead with his helmet. Watch the replay and you can clearly see it.

In conclusion, should a team who didn't even score a TD be bitching about the refs? Nope.

Hit him with Facemask in chest like you're taught he didn't lower his head

No it didn't cost them the game. They got the ball back with over 3 minutes and couldn't score.

aTm wouldn't been able to drive they hadn't all night. I give aTm credit, but that call cost NU the game
Posted on 11/21/10 at 4:55 pm to GerryDiNardo
No way that's roughing the passer.

A&M ended with more yards than Nebraska... What cost NU the game was the inability to put the ball into the EZ.

It's clearly leading with his helmet, which is what the call was.. It wasn't late by any means and was the only questionable call of the night.

I was wrong after watching it. He did drop his head but hit him with shoulder. That wasn't roughing.

This can be called on every tackle then. I have no dog in the fight, I'm neither for NU or A&M, but if they start calling 15 yarders on every hit like that...I'll stop watching college football.

That is not roughing the passer. Bad call.
Posted on 11/21/10 at 4:59 pm to vuvuzela
Whether or not you agree, he clearly led with his helmet which is a point of emphasis in the NFL and college. Especially on the QB.

Why is everyone acting like this is the world's first bad call... it did not decide the game and Nebraska needs to STFU and get over it...THEY LOST
