You think that NFL scouts would be smart enough to sift through the bullshite the ESPN guys peddle, but I guess not that time. They fell hook line and sinker for it.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the ESPN guys got their info from the NFL scouts and not the other way around. Scouts can be wrong sometimes too obviously.

frick yes. you act like he's a fricking scrub because he's behind tom brady.

he's light years better than any QB in tihs draft not named dalton and kapernick.

I like Dalton but it's way too early to be saying that. I still think Cam is the most talented and if Carolina can build a good team around him he'll end up the best QB of this class in the long run

Never saw a QB prospect get shite on so hard by ESPN, Kiper and McShay as Dalton did before the 2011 draft.

I don't remember what Mcshay and Kiper were saying but there were several analysts on ESPN praising Dalton. Dilfer was one of his biggest supporters and he harshly criticized Seattle for passing on him.

It's less people think he is a scrub but we haven't seen him in any meaningful time so any proclamations on his future seems premature.

I never acted like he was a scrub. I'm just curious how you can put him in the same sentence with Dalton and Kaepernick when you've never seen him play an NFL game. He may be good, but there's no proof yet that he will be.

well they cut their number 2 guy to bump him up.

this entire thread is full of prolimations. IF carlonia does this IF the vikings do that IF SF had this, i'm saying that when he gets his time he will be an above avg if not elite QB in the nfl.

Yeah but we have almost 2 seasons of games for a sample siZe when discussing Newton, Dalton, and Ponder.

You've seen nothing from Mallett in the NFL to justify your belief.

You might be right about him but at this point your belief is based on emotion rather than any data

As a Pats fan I want Mallet to succeed because I want a QB when Brady retires in 2045. But saying Mallet is clearly better than those guys is insane at this point because theyve actually played

You can say he has more talent than those guys (which is true with the exception of Newton). Theres not even much preseason hype to get excited about with him so i dont see how you can say hes better based on the way he stands on the sideline

It's a pretty underwhelming class but he's still led the Bengals to 2 playoff games.

He's had a pretty lousy month and a half or so.
