Are they going to be able to hit enough jump shots?

i think so.

Wade and Lebron as very efficient scoring the ball, obviously. Doesnt have to be jump shots. Anyone that can shoot the ball will compliment this team greatly.

Who's going to rebound their jump shots?

like mentioned, Bosh is a great rebounder, as is Lebron. As is Wade for his size. Let's see who else they add.

on another note both Pittman and Varnado were very good college rebounders.

Im more concerned with the Scola situation. We can match any offer but there are a bunch of teams looking at him who have a shite load of money. Really hope the Nets pass on him

Certainly possible.

There 1st year will probably there worst. And with chemistry and also being able to use the MLE every year after this year, they'll only get better each year.

most of the time, but there are exceptions. Like when you have the best player in the league and another top 5 player in the NBA.

Michael Jordan didnt need size to win. I dont think these guys will need excessive bulk either.

Bosh and Lebron are both great rebounders. And are both long. Wade is long for a SG. Varnado, albeit a rookie, is long as frick and will be a great shot blocker.

quote:

If any of the big 3 gets in foul trouble or injured, they're fricked.

I keep hearing this, and people fail to realize what Lebron did with a bunch of nobodies in Cleveland or how Wade won like 45 games last year with a junior varsity team.

as long as an injury isnt season ending, they will just bide their time until fully healthy.

This.

Depends on who they sign this year. They may not have much this year, but after this year, they'll be fine.

Didn't watch much of Pittman in college, does anyone know why he never played more than 19 minutes a game?

he was always extremely overweight until the last year or so at Texas.

He could be a Kendrick Perkins type player if he puts in the right work

Yeah, that one is scary. With all of the bad contracts this year, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a ridiculous offer.

honestly, i think they may be better off when one of the three isn't on the floor. and i think there is about a 10-15% chance they win the first year. I honestly think Kobe and crew mop the floor with their arse this season.

Who's taking bets on when the first fight starts in the locker room? I have a feeling these guys are going to end up being jealous of each other

I don't buy it. Relying on Bosh, perimeter players and rookies to outrebound and outmuscle teams like LA, Orlando, and Chicago. Boston isn't a particularly good rebounding team, but they clog the lane and stop guards from penetrating better than any other team. I think you are overestimating the Heat's undetermined supporting cast. I'm anxious to see if the Bulls can score enough perimeter points, because if so, that's four teams that the current Heat don't match up with too well. I

If they sign Shaq(which I doubt will happen) I'd say within the first month.
ETA: I'm not sure signing him would be a good move for them. It could turn out to be great, but if he's not happy it could get ugly.

I don't see size at the 5 as that big of a deal with this lineup:

Lebron
Wade
Miller
Bosh
Any NBA caliber player

It will be nearly impossible to defend, and it should be filthy defensively also. They may not win a title their first year, but they'll definitely win multiples once they sign a few midlevel guys.
