I can’t wrap my around punting on $5 million dollars because of this thing

I’d purposely get the Rona for a lot less than that tbh

I guess that's one way to help the owners out... save them $5M when they can pay someone else to pitch for a few hundred thousand.

Its crazy how spoiled certain rich people can become. A huge population of america is forced out of work and are begging to be able to work and he cant pitch a handful of games for 5mil under what would be some of the safest working conditions to be in.

prorated salary would be "fair" assuming that the revenue generated by the MLB was going to be equal to past years

It would also be fair to say you signed a contract live with it. Players get that all the time as so recently referred to by previous posters.

Sucks for owners that they didn’t include language to govern this possible situation, but why should players have to suffer for their problems?

The irony in this quote when those who like spewing this shite love sucking off a billionaire President who would likely never have anything to do with them in open public is pretty rich.

You started a help board thread yesterday complaining about political posts on the MSB and SEC rant

Comprehension must be hard for you.

quote:

The MLBPA is expected to reject that element of the proposal and counter that a March agreement between the parties guaranteed players a prorated portion of their salaries.

Snell has a salary of $7 million and the owners are proposing a 82 game schedule. Snell wants to be paid the prorated portion which would be $3.5 million and does not want that prorated salary to be reduced.

You have to remember reading comprehension is not a strong suit of the PoliTards that flock over here

I don’t really mind anyone fighting for money
He thinks he should get more get paid, and if he’s willing to sit out the season, fine.

There’s language in every contract regarding the prorated salary part.

quote:

Governmental Regulation–National Emergency 11. This contract is subject to federal or state legislation, regulations, executive or other official orders or other governmental action, now or hereafter in effect respecting military, naval, air or other governmental service, which may directly or indirectly affect the Player, Club or the League and subject also to the right of the Commissioner to suspend the operation of this contract during any national emergency during which Major League Baseball is not played.

It’s just exaggeration to get more money
You’ve never used exaggeration or sometimes lying when negotiating a salary?

It’s different because they are spoiled millionaires

You don’t get the right to leverage to hoard as much money as possible until you become a billionaire.

It’s confusing I know.

Where is the “more” coming from? Is there a scenario where Snell makes “more” than his already agreeed upon salary?
