I've never sat on the floor at an NBA game, but I've been very close several times.

Is there a significant difference in the experience? Is it worth the extra money?

You see better a few rows back, courtside is for the status and/or player interaction.

I'll take row 12 over courtside all day every day.

Same with hockey....sitting along the glass severely limits your view of the action. However, it does provide protection during the aforementioned "player interaction".

Yeah, probably the most fun I had when the Kingfish were around was sitting with a couple buddies on the front row in a corner close to the goal, getting hammered on cheap screwdrivers made with Taaka vodka, and banging on the glass all game when the players crashed into it.

Hockey i always sit in the Ends, about 20 rows up. Then, the only blind spot is along the boards near me, i can still see if a goal goes in.

if ur on the sides or lower, you lose a shite ton of the puck, because of blind spots.

but glass seats in ends are great for watching guys faces get smashed into the glass. Or hear them yelling shite at each other. I remember one guy yelling,"Go suck a dick, you fricking ****". I was 9 at the time, my Father looked at me, and we both laughed our asses off.

Sitting on the floor at an NBA game is something you should do. I've never done it, but when I had more money I thought about it. I chickened out because it seemed gratuitous. I say 100% go for it. It will probably be an amazing 2 1/2 to 3 hours, and probably cost about the same as a top of the line escort.

This is Tuesday’s game against the Lightning. Caps shoot twice on this side but I have to watch the Jumbotron for all the action on the other side for the most part. First four rows at Caps games are all inclusive so I look to get those every time I go. The price of beer, food, etc makes it definitely worth it. If it’s a playoff game I’m going to sit up about 10-15 rows to see the whole ice.The rows up close are awesome though because you get to experience just how fast the game is.

If you're not in the first row, your view down the court will be obstructed by big hair or other bullshite. If you have a kid with you they won't see much.

I’ve sat in both and I 100% prefer floor.

I dont Know what people are talking about not being able to see as much. Turn your fricking head.

100% floor. Totally different view of the game. Something you should absolutely do at least once if you have the opportunity.

10 rows back or so may provide a better view, but maaaaaan sit on thw floor at least once if you have the opportunity.

Got a chance to sit courtside at a Nuggets game a few years back and it was amazing. The speed of the game is unbelievable.
