# of SB rings (as a Head Coach):
Cowher - 1
Tomlin - 1
Cowher - 1
Tomlin - 1

With the team Cowher built.
Since that time look at what he has built.

Sounds like the front office needs to make better roster moves. It's not easy to win in the NFL. Most franchises go through multiple really poor seasons over an 18 year stretch.

I have no idea if Tomlin is a good/great/crap coach, but he really doesn't look well physically.

Tomlinson isn't

Going from being the head coach of an NFL organization to go to college literally is a step down though, especially when he already has good job security.

Should I add more contestants to the DEI list?

Absolutely. And Tomlin is part of those bad decisions. Unless you want to believe he doesn't have any input at all.

This isn’t college. His GM and owner built the team. Cowher coached the players given to him
Regardless. Cowher was a perennial choker in the playoffs his entire career until the Super Bowl win, then he retired a year later

Dude shut the frick up. I’m getting sick and tired of you frickers. Todd Bowles has won the NFC South how many times in a row? Well tell me what the frick Dennis Allen is then.

Went to his 2 superbowls with Cower's core of Big Ben, Hines Ward, Troy Polamalu, Ryan Clark, Santonio Holmes, Heath Miller, Willie Colon, Trai Essex, Chris Kemoeatu, Max Starks, Casey Hampton, Chris Hoke, Brett Keisel, Aaron Smith, James Farrior, Larry Foote, James Harrison, Ike Taylor, Deshea Townsend, Jeff Reid, and Dick LeBeau.
I honestly think Tomlin underachieved with the team he inherited.

Cowher went 8-8 with that team, then quit

I never saw it either, but based on headline alone I dont see the problem. USC job would be beneath the coach of the Steelers.

Ben almost died in a car accident then had an appendectomy right before the season started. He came back week 2 and they lost 3 straight. He threw his most INTs in his career that season.

You don’t see the problem with them calling it racist?

So did Burrow in 2022. Bengals still won their division and went to the AFC championship game. If the Steelers were so stacked and Tomlin just coasted to a title due to the team left to him, then why the terrible season Cowher’s last year? Because of offseason issues? Sounds weak TBH

Not every coach who won a SB was a great coach.

yeah that post by udtiger is BS. there is way too much money and pressure involved in this business to just hire someone because of what they look like. Frankly hiring a HC just because he is black doesnt even move the needle any more. Nobody cares except the race baiting members of the media. The rest of the world only cares about wins and losses, not skin color
Tomlinson is a good to even great coach with a long successful track record but things get stale. He looks terrible, like the weight of the world is on his shoulders

Stil doesn’t mean it wasn’t a dei hire lol

This has nothing to do with dei hires. Dennis Allen is garbage.
