So many of y’all care so much about these athletes you hate like Biles and Rapinoe.

It’s honestly impressive

Pussies like you that are ready to whine about it at the drop of a hat (second post no less) are even more impressive.

but for some reason she doesn't get a pass because she did the right thing by stepping aside last time

Are you kidding me?!

She got a pass from the vast majority of people, including ones in this very thread. And the right thing to do would have been to have given her spot to someone else instead of flying her to Tokyo just so she could quit in the middle of the competition because she was having a bad day.

If she had just come out and said that she was off her game I think people would have been just as understanding. Instead, she had to make it about her. First she came out and said the pressure was too great but then when people were attacking her for that, she played the mental health card. Once that card is on the table we are all supposed to automatically understand and emphasize with her.

She was the highest scoring gymnast at Olympic Trials - you can't leave her off the team.

You still never answered my question:

Have you lost a fellow Marine to undiagnosed mental health issues/undiagnosed PTSD?

Why do so many people dismiss the notion of mental health issues in this case?

Because it’s used as a crutch, and a last line of defense in a whole lot of cases.

I dislike the Biles instance because the media treat it as a “You’ll never see black people achieve greatness like this again!” Narrative. Which is a shame, because I ought to like Biles just for being an American hero. And to be fair, it didn’t sound like she just went back to competing immediately after.

Raping-ho has been an absolute asshat since she popped up.

I was talking about this thread, not the majority of the population.

Umm, she wasn't having the issues before the Olympics She was killing it. It wasn't like she was in a line screaming "O pick me, please pick me for the team!" She was the top gymnast in the sport, she earned her spot. And like I say, the greatest female gymnast of all time. There's a reason you have these people that are called backups, I'm sure you've heard of them. In case another person isn't performing or hurt, they fill in.

Playing the mental heath card was lame. But what she had going on was mental. She was in her own head and that was throwing her vault off. Same way a professional golfer can go from being a great putter to no longer having any confidence standing over a 5 ft putt, it's not that he can't make the put, his head has just thrown him off.

But like I say, all you can focus on is her talking about her issues in a way that is not pleasing to you and at the same time forgetting about all that she had already done for the USA.
