It’s absolutely not, it has a great river valley that cuts through the city but outside of that it’s pretty dumpy and has a massive homelessness/drug problem (I get that all cities have that now unfortunately)
There are definitely far, far nicer cities in Canada.
Once again saying this as someone who lives in Alberta and is a HUGE Oilers fan. I would say Edmonton is probably the second or third least desirable city in the NHL (Winnipeg is 1st)

I am with you. I am getting nervous. Been a fan since they announced the franchise.
Alberta is sick af though. Calgary and Edmonton are based and Banff NP may be one of the prettiest places on the planet.

We are going to Calgary two weeks from tomorrow for our 20th anniversary trip. We can't wait. We're spending a couple of days there, then heading west and driving through Banff and staying with my mom's life-long best friend and her husband in Golden, BC. We are doing the Icefields Parkway on the trip back.
