Should we start talking about the Ewers transfer rumors?

Apparently the transition to OSU has been really bad and some of the OSU info people are saying theres a decent chance he is going to look to transfer after the end of the season

What could be so bad? Is he just homesick?

CJ Stroud has looked really good, and is going to be the starter for the next couple of years.
Spoiled athletes like Ewers don’t usually handle adversity well.

Who didn’t see this one coming? Just hope he doesn’t end up at A&M being that Texas is going to land Manning.

Per the thread on OSU 247
quote:
As the prior thread on Quinn Ewers and Alex Gleitman's opinion that he will transfer has been locked, I just want to add some perspective. First of all, of course this has been a difficult transition for a nice 18 year old homebody kid from Texas.
This is quite the experiment for purposes of NIL income, and he is not able to be distracted by being on the field in games. He obviously has had a tough transition, and Ryan Day alluded to that a couple weeks ago when he mentioned that Quinn "is making some friends now".
Most of these transfer rumors popped up this week after Quinn did not travel to Indiana, and Jagger LaRue was the emergency 4th QB on the travel squad. That move was not a slap in Ewers face. It was a "mental health" move. Ewers spent Saturday deer hunting in east central Ohio, and in my opinion, it was a great move by Coach Day.
Will he transfer? Will Kyle McCord transfer? Will Jack Miller transfer? These questions will likely be answered after Spring Ball. They all came here to be developed by Ryan Day. 4th string will transfer for the 2022 season this Winter or Spring. 3rd string wil likely transfer after the Spring unless its a a very close competition for 2nd team QB, as one of the 2 will be the starter in 2023.
Personally, for Ewers development, he needs to stay at OSU for 2022, and that is a no brainer. He will be maximally developed by Day after a "real freshman 2022 year", and he will either start in 2023 here or he will transfer to a lesser program in immediate need for a starter in 2023. Delusions of him heading to the NFL after 2023 by transferring to another program and starting in 2022 are just that...delusions. It "could" happen, but its unlikely and not the path that the NFL would desire.

He got a free milly
And is getting free practice at a tier 1 program instead of high school play for his senior year
Might have been the plan all along
But CJ Stroud being a heisman contender as a freshman certainly axed any chance

I know from my own personal experience I had a rough first semester at school. Just being on your own for the first time, thousands of miles from everyone youve known, in an entirely new spot...I understand why thats hard. Let alone for someone who should still be in HS
I bet Stroud looking good and his current place on the depth chart is playing a role as well

I hope he stays at tOSU and fulfills his destiny in becoming the most hated college player in recent memory if he’s worth a shite
5* #1 overrall recruit, first name Quinn, looks like this, and quarterback for Ohio State. It’s just the perfect storm lmao

He’ll probably end up at Georgia like every one else is doing

If he's homesick, I would think he looks at the Texas schools

Day keeping him off the travel roster so he could go deer hunting is awesome.

Texas is probably getting Manning and A&M is very happy with who we have coming in. If hed want to be close to home it would have to be at one of the step children who wont even be in power conferences in the near future, OU who has williams, or like Arkansas or something

I would rather have Weigman than pursue Ewers I think. Ewers is the higher rated prospect but Weigman is no slouch and has been solid to us for a while. Doesn’t seem worth burning him just to pursue when he wasn’t interested in us out of HS. I’m guessing Ewers lands at Texas or Bama if he actually leaves
LSU definite possibility depending on who you hire

That NIL money would have still been there after a senior year of high school
He should have finished high school

With the transfer rules in current year he hasnt really lost any time or any options
Im guessing practice at Ohio State is better than any high school play you can get

Tathan Martell set the blueprint

Week off to go deer hunting? Myles Brennan now wants Day for the LSU job.
