Not really related to the subject, but I just read on their website that Antonio Gates and Vincent Jackson are on the selection committee for the CIT.
Thought that was pretty random and funny.

Is ULL crying to every media outlet that will listen twice a week about how they can't work within their budget?

Didn't even realize ULL made it in. Lord please let us play em again.

In that last picture looks like they adding some kind of open press area at the top?
Edit: also looks like they are dividing the 100 and 200 levels.

Yeah, the concourse for the 100 level will be above the seats where you walk down instead of in front of the seats. Basically this will put the seats closer to the court/ concert etc.

Looks real nice. Might be even better for ice gator games.

The official attendance was only 1205. Looks like they didn't make money on it again this year.

It costs $30k plus to host a game. How likely is it that they'll cover their costs? Should the state intervene since they subsidize their athletics?
You can't nitpick them at that level.
They area allowed to transfer 5% or so of the general fund to athletics. They usually do a rake of around $5 mill. If you allow them to do that, they should spend it as they like.
BTW, they are also playing WCIT home games. Big win today.

3% of the general fund can be used for athletics. We currently use about 1.5%.

I think every luxury a school has that doesn't self fund, needs to be the first things cut when it comes to educational cuts...
No state funds need to be diverted to keep (examples) McNeese volleyball, UNO golf, or ULL baseball....
Title Ix needs to be looked at as well

Well maybe other universities wouldn't be in such bad shape if the LSU system wasn't such a drain on the state (taxpayers money)
