Should pitchers be required to wear helmets?

Twice this year a pitcher has taken a line drive to the head. It seems stupid that the base coaches are required to wear helmets but pitchers don't have to.

Hell, Dwight Howard elbows 2-3 people per game.

Maybe, NBA players should be wearing helmets too?

Were a nation of pussies - everytime one thing goes wrong we overreact and mandate sweeping rules that are really detrimental.

In the case of airport security we have to make flying suck. In the case of baseball we have to have fielders look like tools (John Olerud).

he wore it because he had a brain aneyurism(sp)
