Should an undefeated Ohio State belong in the NC game?

As we saw last season, and undefeated record should NOT necessarily give a team a pass to the NC game. OSU's schedule this year is extremely weak. Why should they get to play in the title game over a one loss SEC or Pac-12 champ who undoubtedly will have a better resume? The order in my mind should be:

1) Undefeated Bama/LSU
2) Undefeated Oregon/Stanford/UCLA
3) 1- Loss Bama/LSU/A&M
4) Undefeated OSU or 1-loss Pac12 champ depending on how strong the Pac12 actually turns out to be.

Thoughts? Hopefully the BCS will not make the same mistake as last season and put a sub par team in the title game. It made for a pretty boring game.

ND was no match for Bama. They were completely outmatched on both sides of the ball.

In order:

Undefeated SEC team.

1 Loss SEC team

Undefeated ACC/PAC 10 team

2 Loss SEC team

Undefeated OSU

Undefeated Louisville.

Media is way too anti-SEC for this to happen. Even though a two-loss SEC team would probably still be the best in the country assuming there were no undefeated 1 or 0 loss SEC teams.

tOSU's schedule this season and Notre Dame's schedule last season are not comparable IMO.

OSU's schedule is easier. The way things are looking they may not play a ranked opponent all year.

They go in over any one-loss SEC or Pac 12 team.

Northwestern and Michigan

If Michigan's defense doesn't get better, then we may be unranked by then but Northwestern surely still will be.

Would be a damn shame if this happened. Playoffs can't come soon enough.

Whoops, forgot about NW. I'd be surprised if Michigan were ranked at the end of the year, given that they almost lost to Akron at home.

So one ranked team, who is not even in the top 15. Such a hard schedule

I happen to think a team should be evaluated by the teams they beat not the teams they lose to.

Really? Mich had a bad day. They are much better than that. The "almost" angle always makes me chuckle.

Ok. Nd needed like three overtimes to beat a shitty Purdue team AT HOME. Mich is a real good team. Maybe not as good as Ohio State, But right behind them in the big Ten.

ND is ND. Do you think a team like Bama, LSU, or Oregon would ever get challenged by a cupcake at home? Heck no.
