Iowa St has a lottery pick on their team. He is out for the season. The lost by 29 in their first game without him. Iowa St then beats Texas by 29.

Yeah, I think I've said this before on here but I thought this marriage was going to turn out better. There was a time when Shaka could've named whatever P5 school he wanted to go to but stayed at VCU a little longer until he found the opportunity he wanted. When Texas finally got him I expected bigger things.

His system worked in the midmajor conference, but it hasn't in Big12
And that's all on him, there is a ton of talent in state, his teams should be tons better.

I've heard some people say that being the hoops coach at a football school is tough. On the contrary, at least for Texas/OSU/Mich there isn't a lot of pressure and you should be able to pull some good talent. That said, if I'm Beard, I'm not leaving for Texas.
