Good service time manipulation needs to stop, if the kid is ready then he is ready...

As I'm complaining about the Brewers offense Smoak with a double to score Garcia

Hated what the Cubs did with Kris Bryant but understood the business aspect of it. I am sure it is going to come up when he is ready for a new contract

This is something the players need to fight, not a better post game buffet

Bad and lazy on defense and nothing special on offense for his last 200 games

He has worked to essentially be league average defensively....

Last year he had a -2 DRS (year before +4)
He has one of the best arms for a catcher in baseball
His framing has improved since 2017 as well

His mental mistakes get over blown mainly because they happen at critical times

Has a hit already today but definitely a slow start for someone that was heaped with praise last year.

quote:

On March 31, 2019, Yelich became the sixth player in MLB history to hit a home run in each of his team's first four games.

On July 1, 2019, Yelich became the first player in Brewers franchise history to reach 30 home runs before the All-Star Break, beating former Brewer Prince Fielder's record of 29 home runs. Yelich was selected to participate in the Home Run Derby but had to withdraw due to a back injury. He was replaced by Matt Chapman in the Home Run Derby. On September 10, 2019, Yelich hit a foul ball off his kneecap and left the game.Shortly thereafter, it was revealed that his right kneecap was fractured, which prematurely ended his 2019 season.

In 2019, Yelich won his second National League batting title. He batted .329/.429 (leading the NL)/.671 (leading the major leagues) with a 1.100 OPS (leading the majors), 44 home runs (4th in the NL), 11.1 at bats per home runs (leading the league), a .342 ISO (leading the NL), 30 stolen bases (3rd), a 93.75 stolen base percentage (3rd), and 97 RBIs in 130 games. He had the highest Hard Contact Percentage of all National League batters, at 50.8%.Yelich was the first National League player to lead the league in batting average and slugging percentage in consecutive seasons since Rogers Hornsby, who did so from 1920 to 1925. He won the NL Hank Aaron Award for the second year in a row and finished second in NL MVP voting.

And that was after winning the MVP in ‘’18. Referring to him as simply “someone that was heaped with praise last year” is pretty fricking weak and seems weirdly dismissive.

You can say that I am blinded with hate since I carry a deep disregard for his team.

Fair enough, I guess. I’m a Braves fan and have no allegiance to him whatsoever, but seems to me he’s quite established as a top 5 position player in baseball. If anything, this start is the outlier. And who hates the Brewers? They’re harmless.

Cubs fans living in close proximity to Brewers fans. I will say that Miller Park is an amazing place to tailgate.

Well that’s definitely fair. When they make the playoffs, I think the rest of the league just pats them on the head and says “awww. Aren’t you cute. Bless your heart.” Of course, as Braves fan, I’m sure they say the same thing about us.

Never been to Miller, but almost did a couple years ago and kinda regret not doing that trip. We were gonna see U2 at Soldier Field for their 25 year anniversary tour of The Joshua Tree Album. We were either gonna fly into Chicago(from Louisiana) and catch a Cubs’ game and then drive to Milwaukee and catch a Brewer’s game or vice versa. Can’t remember which way it was gonna work out.

For whatever reason, we decided against going and caught U2 in Dallas and New Orleans. But I really want to take my son up that way to check out those 2 parks. Besides Wrigley being historic, both Wrigley and Miller seem like a great time no matter how good the Cubs or Brewers are or if you’re even a fan of either as long as you’re a baseball fan. I really hope everything gets back to normal next year. Or as close to it as possible.

@anne__rogers: Alex Reyes' fifth inning:

Strikeout swinging (100-mph fastball)
Strikeout looking (98-mph fastball)
Strikeout swinging (98-mph fastball)

#STLCards lead 5-3 heading into the sixth inning.

@AndrewSimonMLB: Alex Reyes is the first pitcher this season to have 3 Ks at 98+ mph in the same inning.

Starters Dustin May and Jacob deGrom are the only pitchers to even have 3 in an entire *game* this season.

Great place to tailgate since it has such a HUGE parking lot but you're not missing anything inside of the stadium. When they open the roof, you're looking out at a warehouse since they built the stadium near the industrial part of Milwaukee.

I'd love to see Devi Garcia or Clarke Schmidt up instead of Happ or Paxton

Gonna be tough for the Yankees to win in the postseason if Paxton doesn’t figure it out.
