She/he is not a woman. She/he is one of those extremely rare "intersex" people.

Externally this person looks female, they appear to have a vagina, which is why they were assumed to be a girl at birth and raised that way.

However internally, there are no ovaries, just functional testicles and has XY chromosomes.

From a biological standpoint Semenya is far more male than female.

It really sucks for she/he, they were dealt a really shitty hand in life, but allowing him to compete in "women's" sports is patently unfair to true biological women.

So Pepe, should every woman in sports have to checked for ovaries and chromosomes before competing?

All female athletes do blood tests already.

Athletes are separated by gender on the basis of biology, not "identity". There must be a biological basis for where to put individuals.

She's not a man. She's a woman with naturally high levels of testosterone.

"She" actually IS a man. "She" has XY chromosomes, that's a man...end of story. She can/should compete...just against other men.

Do you even know what a chromosome is? I suspect you may have an extra one.

Once blood is drawn, a whole litany of tests are already done on it, what's one more?

So answer my original question

You do think they should check chromosomes for all women’s athletes now across sports?

Your last response made it sound like they already do that. I assure you they do not

Yes, absolutely. Now that trannies are mainstream it's an issue women's sports have to come to face with. Otherwise you're going to see trannies dominating the highest levels of women's sports in a very short period if time.

Everyone is so obsessed over not hurting their feelings and being "woke" they're ignoring the 99.9% of actual women getting f'd over.

People like Martina Navratilova are getting attacked for speaking out.

You ever see Shaq compared to the other dudes he played against? That didn't exactly seem like a fair comparison. I really don't see any difference, they both have advantages that came naturally.

This isn’t as smart of a point as you probably think. Shaq played against the top tier players. Women’s sports are not the top tier they are the top WOMENS tier. If women could compete with men there would be women in top tier leagues.

They did test for the Y chromosome from ‘68 to ‘96. They changed to the new Hyperandrogenism test that is now used. The Nice report cited by the IAAF was taken from Y tests at 2011and 2013 world meets. LINK and LINK

Why do you think this is relevant? This is coming up because men are attempting to play in women sports. This is a fairly new phenomenon.

Not really

This thread is up because someone deemed a female ever since birth is dominating women’s sports

This is one of the few instances where I feel bad for everyone involved. It's a shitty situation, and people acting like it's cut and dry one way or the other are wrong.

It's insane to lump her in with the people who are literally males with all the male parts but identify as female, as this is pretty obviously a different situation.

That being said, it's completely understandable that pure XX chromosomed women are upset because they literally have zero chance against someone who has a lot of the same traits as a biological male.

They already take blood and other materials to test for performance enhancers

Yeah. She’s a rare case where binary sex doesn’t fit. I’m conflicted as to what should be done and no solution seems “fair.”

Yeah. Intersex is a lot different than “trans.”

Yes, and as noted above, the IOC use to perform Barr body tests on all female athletes. Testing is by no means new or novel. In fact they use to discourage athletes from competing if they “didn’t have enough up top”

Also, I don’t think there is much difference in the ambiguity of Semenya then there was with Ratjen. It’s a recurring problem for any sport where there is qualification for competition

If she doesn't have a wiener or hanging balls then let her compete with women.
