Now all we have is Texas, which isn't really an SEC Team.

Hate to say it, but we are on the decline.

Recent history has shown the conference as a whole is not anything special outside 3-4 teams

B1G had two teams in top 11 lost today.

These super conferences are going to have teams beat each other up

The SEC now is much more akin to the NFL and they "any given" montra. It's not that the top teams aren't really good. Its that everybody in the league can knock off anyone else now.

The portal has tremdoualy diluted the ability for teams like Bama and UGA to hoard all the talent. Hogs had countless players in their team that all started at other SEC teams and are starters/playmakers for Arkansas now.

2/3 of the good teams in CFB are now in the SEC/Big10. This is gonna happen.

Michigan already had a loss,
Michigan lost to Washington, not Vanderbilt.
Not quite like being the alleged #1 and getting 40 dropped on you by Vandy, and being #4 and losing to Arkansas.
It's not like they were knocked off by LSU.

Texas looks like the only legit SEC team this year.
Ohio State & Texas are on another level than everyone else.

Which conference is better?

Big XII? Hahahahaha
ACC? frick no. The Calgorithm is about to be ranked #1
B1G? Please. Outside of OSU, who do they have?

The SEC is far and away the best conference because we have far and away the best players. Yes, our coaches are retarded at times, but the players are worlds better than the rest of the conferences.

This is what it’s all about. On the flip side teams like Vandy are plugging holes with key guys like that QB from NMSU.

As for OP I’m always amused when people say a conference is overrated after teams lose IN THEIR OWN CONFERENCE

To be fair Texas and Ohio State haven’t played anybody worth a damn either. The issue is the portal and NIL have spread the talent around. It’s way harder for the top programs to pay everybody now.

Vandy lost to Georgia State.
It's not like Alabama got knocked off by LSU.
Vandy dominated the time of possession, the line of scrimmage, and dropped 40 on that Bama D.
And Bama was supposed to be #1 ?

There is so much more parity today in college football. The days of teams being absolute dominant are over
