Mizzou SECCG appearances hold little weight, I guess.

Didn’t they get boat races by Auburn and Alabama back to back years only to never be heard from again?

I'd prefer to stay at 8 until FSU finally grows a pair and joins.

FSU isn't even on the radar. The top 2 seem to be UNC and UVA. Adding FSU or Clemson adds nothing that we don't already have.

I mean not exactly. The post I was responding to said Mizzou has to go before A&M, but if we are basing that on recent performance, Mizzou has the lead. They had a pretty good squad this past year and an even better one the year before. That team was the last non-conference opponent to beat OSU.

Are they really going to be big OOC games? Kansas, Rutgers, Vandy, and Purdue are going to be flooded with calls from teams wanting a "power" OOC game

Help me with the math.

9 games total, 3 permanent and 6 rotating. It says every SEC team will play every other team once every 2 years. There’s only 12 rotating slots for every two years and 16 teams total.

You drunk?

There are 15 other teams besides your school that you could play.

3 locked opponents leave 12 teams. 6 and 6

If we are going to kick teams out, we have to start with Mizzou.

They've been a more formidable football program than Aggie the past two seasons.

I'd rather go back to 10 and replace Miss St with A&M. Round robin

They don’t fit. It’s got nothing to do with formidable.

I think this quote from a post by jlovel7 sums it up:
quote:

I support this but another blow to the G5. That’s one game every year most of them won’t be able to get now because of not having a dance partner with a fat wallet.
As a fan, I think it's great. I'd much rather watch Alabama vs. ND than South Carolina vs Elon.

Those smaller schools like South Alabama and Troy are going to miss those big paydays though.

It will also preclude huge upsets like when App State went into the Big House and rustled Wolverine jimmies (2007).
