He isn't a floor general but he doesn't have to be. He plays great D and doesn't turn the ball over much. I like Lin as a scorer off the bench and a playmaker, just not the guy running the show. This team is really good when healthy. Love the way it's coming together.

Almost 3x more free throws than the other team. Haeden AND Parsons had just about as many free throws as the Wizards....I wish Portland was a big market team sometimes...
Literally everything was a post-up or a player attacking the basket.
That's why they had so many free throws. Plus the Wizards were doing the "hack-a-Howard" some.

Dwight is starting to make his ft. He and Harden are going to be hell in the playoffs.

The Rockets have the best winning percentage in the NBA in 2014 with a record of 15-4 (.789).

Rockets play the game like it should be played. Guards play like good guards and big men play like good big men.
Everyone tries to use bigs to stretch the floor too much these days. Rockets are letting the small guys do that and it's awesome to watch.

Half of those can be contributed to us.
You are welcome for apparently pissing the Rockets off

Parsons hit 10 3's at home and it wasn't enough. No way they were going to win in Memphis after that.
You are welcome for giving the Grizzlies confidence.

Rockets move up to 3rd.

Fellow Rockets fans, going into game 1 of the season, is where the Rockets currently sit (36-17, 3rd in WC) below, at, or above your predictions to this point at the All Star break?
I would have to say slightly above my realistic predicitons. I figured we'd be 5th or 6th with around 30-32 Ws.

I figured Houston was 3rd or 4th best in the conference behind OKC and San Antonio.
I don't think the two-seed is a wild thought. Houston is 3-0 against San Antonio this year.

I had them winning between 56-60. I figured they were good enough to play .700 ball for the year and that's right around the pace they're at now, playing better as the year goes and Harden/Howard get a feel for each other. Hopefully Asik comes back motivated and they can make it interesting come playoffs
Edit: wow my their they're was awful yesterday...good thing I wasn't writing anything big for work haha

This is right where i had them pegged. On pace for 56-58 wins. The team really hadn't played well for a stretch of more than a game or two conscuticely before this most recent streak and even last nights game left a lot to he desired. So there's still lots of room for improvement, well maybe not improvement as much as consistency. Looking forward to the last 30 games & depending on seeding I'm hoping for a WCF appearance at least.

He plays great D
He really doesn't. He's ok, slightly better than Lin. Lin is a better offensive player, but it typically doesn't matter because PG is usually the 4th option in the offense. I think their roles are fine though.

About where I thought they would be.

I predicted 55 wins. But that was assuming Asik would be playing back-up. They are on pace for about 55 even with him hardly playing.
But the schedule gets tough in March, so let's see if they can keep the pace.

What's the deal with asik? We still going to move him before the deadline?!?

I'm not saying he is Scottie Pippen, but he is easily our best backcourt defender. On offense he doesn't try to do too much. He's better with the first unit than Lin is. Lin is a great option off the bench and is one of the better 6th men in the league.
