My biggest problem with the World Cup of Hockey was the “Team North America” and “Team Europe” crap.
I’d rather they go to the Olympics because casual/non-fans are more likely to watch and it could be better to grow the game (and it just feels bigger), but I’d be fine with only the World Cup IF it’s actually a tournament to find the best international team in the world. The last WCoH was a farce.
ETA: Reading between the lines, that statement makes it sound like they could be foregoing it because they’re gonna try to go back to the Olympics in 2022. Hopefully that’s the case.

Stars acquire Jamie Oleksiak from PITT for a 4th rounder...... The same exact 4th rounder that sent Oleksiak to PITT to begin with. Basically, the trade never happened.
