Caps up 1 vs Hurricanes.

Would be a huge night for Columbus if all holds.

ETA: Caps win.

Empty netter, CBJ.

3 teams within 1 point for WC1 and WC2 in the East.

NYI with the big comeback win vs Winnipeg. 2 goals in the last 2 minutes to turn a 4-3 loss to a 5-4 win

It’s not over yet, but it’s a short term thing anyway.

Hoping that Chicago can hold off San Jose and keep VGK within 5 points. Both SJ and VGK are struggling badly lately.

SJ quickly comes back to tie it at 4. So much for that.

The fight for these last Wildcard spots are intense and some of these divisional races are tight. Columbus with a huge win last night, I thought the Jackets were done after losing 3 straight last week. Columbus has the ROW advantage now and have gotten themselves in a good position to reach playoffs. I think East Wildcard 2 spot is between the Canadians and Hurricanes now, Columbus punched their ticket last night unless the wheels fall off.

The West WC2 race is tight, Arizona had a playoff spot in-the-bag until they lost 5 straight recently. Arizona's only getting 4 points compared to 11 Colorado's points these last 6 games have put them in a must win position next game -vs- Colorado. The Avalanche can somewhat afford to lose that game, Arizona can't!

Glad to read some are making money off the Lightning regular season work. Not sure why the Lightning are such good bets; I've never bet on sports so I wouldn't have a clue what to do, but I'm glad it's working out for those that do. Boy, it's weird that the Lightning have had such a long break this late in season (4 days), but these awesome pre-playoff games help fill the void. At least the Lightning have 5 games to knock whatever rust, that might of built up, off before the playoffs start.

Please do not let Columbus get the WC1 slot. That's a team I want no part of in the playoffs. The Caps success has been so steady, we almost take it for granted. The Caps have made the playoff 11 of the past 12 seasons (and 5 in a row) and earned at least 100 points 8 times is the same span (and again, 5 seasons in a row). If they can close out the division, it will be their 9th in 12 years, and their 4th in a row. In that same span, they've won three President's Trophies and a Stanley Cup.

It's metronome like consistency, much like their captain. Ovi has played in 1080 games in his career. He scored 328 in his first 540 games. His second 540? 328 goals as well. Russian Machine Never Breaks.
