He had 22% estimated odds (+350) before winning the PGA this weekend
He wouldn’t move to only +250 after winning it.
I agree the open is by far his hardest test especially with the slow greens and his putting stats there

I would've thought it's his natural high ball flight (power fade) that would be his achilles in The Open, especially with the wind there. I'm not counting out the #1 player in world to get it done though due to him being able to absolutely pound it a country mile.

If he keeps playing at this pace, he will obviously complete the slam. The problem is, nearly nobody keeps this pace for a career. There have been times in the last decade where DJ, Brooks, Spieth, etc have all looked unstoppable. It’s hard to maintain. Nobody would have thought in 2014 Rory would go winless in the majors for the next 11 years. Nobody in 2008 thought Tiger wouldn’t break Jack’s record.
A lot can happen. What happens when Randy Smith passes away or when Ted leaves him.

I'm not saying he will be as good as him. But he is clearly the "next" Tiger and it's not close. We all thought it was going to be Spieth but it's definitely Scottie.
