If you read the thread, it wasn’t just Jemele Hill who made this point. She was the one who started the thread, but then a bunch of women in the industry gave their own perspective on it saying how they always felt uncomfortable and vulnerable in those situations.
If it was just Jemele Hill and a few other wackjobs who said it, SVP and others wouldn’t have given it the time of day.
But because the thread shed light on something so many women seem to universally feel, I think it really did make some guys think about how a woman might feel vulnerable in certain situations where the man might be totally oblivious to their worry.

People complaining about this are just as bad as the SJWs.

Jemele responded to a tweet a women wrote that was going viral... in no way does this deserve a thread condemning it

Jemelle Hill is a nutcase and I’m sure he knows it. Everything is some type of harassment or micro aggression to her

I didn’t interpret that as SJW at all. All he’s saying is that he tries to be courteous, but if that makes women uncomfortable, then he won’t do it anymore. Didn’t seem like a rant against “toxic masculinity “ or anything like that.

This shite is nothing. I can kinda understand that women need situational awareness that never cross men’s mind.
This gif is a good example of what she and others are talking about.

Wtf does SJW mean i see this all the time.
And what’s wrong with SVP?
I’ve been told from a young age to hold the door open for women if they’re behind you, let them go first on the elevator etc
Thought that was being a southern gentleman

“If a man is on the same floor as me and I get off first, I either figure out a way to let them pass by me, or step to the side and fake call someone,” Hill, who previously worked for ESPN, wrote in a tweet. “Most men do not understand the temporary panic we feel in these situations.”
“It’s a shame we sometimes have to treat every dude as a predator, but it’s a crazy world out there
There’s a word for that. It’s called paranoia.

But because the thread shed light on something so many women seem to universally feel
Women who aren’t part of the Hollyweird, “woe is me”, “everyone is out to get me” community feel this as well?
Wow.
Scruffy is amazed.
He never thought to attribute the opinions of celebrities to actual normal human beings.
