Says last time he had this injury he was out 10 days, except this time the injury is worse.

Scherzer is the wussiest good pitcher in the history of baseball. He's totally a cuck of Scott Boras. A sore neck? A tight neck?

Scherzer is done after 6 innings or 90 pitches whichever comes first. He is not worth the money.

One of the reasons I was overthinking was how TOUGH Max has shown to be...pitching through a broken face/nose comes to mind...he must be really really hurting to be pulled (no pun intended)

That's not such a big deal. He's all about protecting his pitching. He can pitch with a broken nose and not risk his arm. But when his neck et al is sore he wusses out.

This series has turned quick. Nationals should have won last night with the big pitching advantage they had, and now they are stuck with some scrub starting Game 5 in danger going down 3-2 going back to Houston.

Ross. Who started 9 games with a 5.48 ERA. While Astros have Cole going.

he has an injury that’s keeping him from starting game 5 I doubt he will be okay to start on Wednesday.

Wrong. Like I said.

Dave Martinez confirms that as of right now, barring anything happening between now and then, Max Scherzer would be his Game 7 starter.
