Let's say they were each given a college team with top five talent and went at it once a year for say 5 years (with similar other competition).
Or feel free to come up with a different scenario - college or pro.

The mentor will defeat the protege the majority of the time in this matchup.

Bill is beating everyone with a salary cap.

The first response was right. In college, Saban would work Belichick.
It's not just a "coaching" thing. The whole environment is different.

I can't imagine Belichick pitching his school to a recruit, he might be required to do more than mumble.

Belicheck by a mile NFL coaches are rocket scientists generally. He does it with less talent. KC has better individual players but the Pats just do it through system and approach.

Belichick is Sabans mentor and has dominated at a higher level.
That said, the head to head is 2-2 and Sabans teams were nowhere near the Pats level. Saban is also the only coach to shut out the Patriots under Belichick.
It's closer than many will admit. If they coached equal teams against each other each week for 16 weeks the record may be 8 to 8.

Actually Don James created Saban but I get your point.

Saban is probably my favorite coach of all time but until he wins multiple super bowls you gotta say bill

Saban. Belechick has to cheat to win.

This.
Sabah might have boosters buying recruits for him but he won before Bama. Bellycheat was a loser in Cleveland and didn't win until he started cheating.

you asking who cheats better?
