And the scary thing is--I think they can play better.
Just enjoying watching this team right now
Terrific basketball night in and night out.
Spurs fans are so spoiled.

Spurs defeat the shorthanded, tanking Lakers 119-85 in San Antonio for their 9th straight win. The Spurs' bench racked up 76 points (1st in the NBA in that category).

Every single Spur available tonight played and scored, from Tiago Splitter (3 points) to Danny Green (15 points).

I don't care that they're tanking.
I don't care that they're injured.
It always does my heart good to see LA get waxed in SAtown

Spurs drop the Utah Jazz 122-104 in San Antonio to notch their 10th win in a row and become the first team in the Association this season to win their 50th game.
San Antonio has the longest streak of 50 win seasons in the history of the league: their last non-50 win season came in 1999, a lockout-shortened season that only had 50 games on the schedule (San Antonio won the franchise's first NBA title that season). The Spurs also managed 50 wins in the 2012 lockout season that only had 66 games on the schedule.

Ginobili, Parker, and Duncan paced the Spurs in scoring, with 21, 18, and 16 points, respectively.

I highly doubt OKC will reclaim the #1 seed at any point going forward.

I'm only cool with this if we get Dallas, not Memphis, in round 1

Nah, we'll take Dallas. You guys keep Memphis.

The Spurs are a machine. It's not a loud one that gets everyone's attention. It just does its thing quietly.
With that being said, I often forget just how good the Spurs are until I watch them. ESPN, media in general rather, constantly shoving MIA, OKC, HOU, and now that Phil is with NYC, down our threats, the Spurs are easy to forget...that is until your team has to play them.

It used to bother me (SA not getting attention/accolades), but now I kinda like it in a weird way
In a sense the "boring," and "old," tags have kind of helped the Spurs from a fan perception sense--you always think SA is over the hill, and next thing you know, they're scrapping right alongside the league's elite. I appreciate that as a fan.
Hoping everyone stays healthy and we have another great Western conference playoff tournament
