From a Cardinals fan, my condolences to the Cub’s family!!! I enjoyed watching him as a kid.

Life long Cubs fan.
Heard Sandberg to Dunston to Grace called by Harry on Marquee brought a tear to my eye

Mr. Cub, but didn’t have the nationwide exposure that Ryno had.

One of the best second basemen in the history of the game. Really could do it all.

RIP, 23

Grew up idolizing Ryno. WGN every afternoon as a kid it seemed. Losing him and Hulk so close really signifies so much of my childhood. Tough week

Harry Carey, Dawson and Ryan were part of my youth. WGN day game and then TBS for Braves that evening. Great after school viewing.

Damn RIP. The Sandberg, Mark Grace and Andre Dawson Cubs were the first baseball team I loved. I used to watch the games on WGN all the time.

The Sandberg game in 1984 was awesome. Remember watching it on a Saturday afternoon as a kid. RIP

How fricked up is major league baseball by not showing baseball on network or cable tv every day. This is why baseball is losing fans imo. Coming home from school and able to watch the Cubs, Braves and even the Mets on TV was wonderful even though they sucked most of the time. I would watch the Cubs just to listen to Harry Carry. Grew up listening to Harry on the Cardinals radio network on a small transistor radio at night. I wasn't a Cardinal fan, but my brother was. "It could, it might be, it is". "Let's get some runs". RIP Ryno.
