Back in December, it was announced that popular radio and TV personality Ryen Russillo was leaving ESPN to pursue other opportunities.

However, it appears that won’t be the case after all, according to a report on Monday from The Athletic’s Richard Deitsch.

According to Deitsch, Russillo is expected to sign a new deal with ESPN soon, which will likely include a podcast and some more TV work:

Was rumored earlier today. Apparently they liked his work on Get Up! recently. This would be neat.

Him being away and still getting really good numbers on his pod probably made them realize he's one of, if not the, best guys they've got.

I guess getting a network to pickup a TV pilot is hard to do.

I'm sure he's still gonna try to do that.

ESPN is probably offering him more money than before.

Option 1: get to do more TV and a pod on your own schedule for probably a couple million.

Option 2: make nothing until something you right gets picked up, if it ever does.

For what's essentially a promotion and more money why wouldn't you go back?

He was really good the week he was in. Also Cassidy Hubbarth was a major upgrade from Beadle

Can't imagine this being the case with all of the cost cutting measures they've been making.

Wouldn't make any sense to give him more money than he was making as a daily radio show host, only to continue doing a weekly podcast and guest TV appearances.

You're right.

I just remember part of the reason he decided to leave was because he wasn't happy with the amount they offered him.

I bet the offer is pretty good considering the amount of work he'll be doing. Of course, we really don't know exactly what he'd be doing yet.

And with a new home in L.A., he will finally get out of Bristol which I am sure he was starting to hate
