I agree, I didn't like his leadership at all. Now I'm glad is approach to 18 bounced through the green at the 2009 British Open.

He had no approach. It was clear that he had no plan, thought he could show up and everybody would ooh and aah and they would win. He mailed it in with the Webb pick AND opening pairing, then made even more baffling pairings with the afternoon choices. He might have single handedly killed Rickies career...dude is gonna be a shell of himself after this.

Like I said, we need to have the Ryder Cup at TPC Scottsdale. No way the Euros would win there.

Will the media treat Watson kindly or rip him like he deserves?

Did it occur to anyone, that perhaps the Euro team was better than the US team?

Yea, it's Tom's fault we lost the Cup matches again.

I still love Tom Watson, but I don't honestly think that a 65 year old is going to be your best choice for a captain. He's from a completely different era as the players, and his technique was too old school to work with these players. I wouldn't mind seeing a guy like Steve Stricker or even Phil get a shot at the next Ryder Cup.

They aren't 7-1 better. At least 2 or 3 of those points are on tom.

Steve Stricker? Great, more mediocrity.

It's quite possible that Larry Nelson will be the next captain.

No. frick no. That didn't occur to me.

We have the talent to play and keep it close.
There were a lot of tactical errors on Capitain watson's part. It's painfully obvious.

Do you not know that?

Watson rode him way too long. Rickie wasn't playing bad, but he wasn't playing great either. But Watson kept acting like he Rickie was our #1. It wasn't fair to a player who has one career PGA victory to be expected to put the USA on his back.

I don't know which guys the players love. I feel like the Europeans love McGinley and Olazabal. I want someone like that whether it is Stricker, Mickeslon, David Toms, Justin Leonard, or even Mark O'Meara.

I would love a 69 year old Larry Nelson that no player knows being a captain against 48 year old Darren Clarke that the Europeans love. Would be great for us...

I think the PGA has to shake it's qualification system. I don't have the data handy , but id be willing to bet the captains picks have outperformed the automatic qualifiers significantly in recent years.

I would think that because he was so close with Tiger other players may not like him, but I have absolutely no idea. What are your thoughts on Couples?

Couples would be perfect.

Jim Furyk should never be allowed at another Ryder Cup
