Where can I buy a BCS hat to show the team I’m rooting for?
This stinks. Give me your top 2. Heck 4 was great.

So glad college sports are heading in the right direction! They sure did suck for so long.

I always wanted a 2007/2008 era conference alignment with the OG Champions League style playoff.
You dont win your conference, you're not in it.

Give me the team that has been forged in the fire of competition over the team that beats up on the Little Sisters if the Poor in a head to head match up every single time.
If the OSU's of the world want to be gifted their spot instead of earning it, have fun getting skull drug by those SEC teams that have faced down adversity and came out on top.
Haven't they seen this movie before ? I thought the late 2000's would have taught them this lesson. How quickly they forgot.
It wasn't until they raised their level of competition that they broke through their own glass ceiling.
By the way, those early 2000's OSU teams were were before the SEC and Nick Saban changed the way college football was played.
I don't think there is an argument to be made against the SEC that it has been the dominant conference since 03 onward.

Yes OSU really needed help (looks at Calendar) in 2024 and early 2025 to beat 2 of the SECs best 3 teams last season.

This isn't the late 2000s, since then OSU has shown they are more than capable of playing with, and beating, the best from the SEC on more than one occasion

What does this have to do with anything

It’s funny because I vividly remember back when people were bitching about the BCS nonstop and foaming at the mouth over a playoff for years. This is one of those “ You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone” kinda moments.

That the auto bid discussion, if it should exist at all, begins with the SEC.

You have to go back 17 years for OSU to have been noncompetitive in a meaningful SEC game, yet this board acts like it happens all the time. Take away the whacked out 2020 situation for obvious reasons and you have 2 bad games 17 and 18 years ago.
2024-2025 Beat Tenn and UT
2022 UGA lost on last second FG miss, played best team in country and had them on the ropes all night in their home. If one of abt five 50/50 breaks go their way, they are champs.
2014 Beats Bama, wins title.
2011 beat Arkansas

100%. And in a weird way, if the 2006 UF game didn't happen, the 2007 "noncompetitive" game against LSU may not be seen as such.
2006 UF was a non-competitive game no doubt. 2007, yards were pretty close, OSU dropped a pass in the endzone which ended in a blocked FG attempt (I think that was same drive but this is almost 20 years ago), and had an AWFUL roughing the punter in the early 3rd at 24-10 when it was 4th down.
LSU was better than OSU in 2007 for sure, but I think it looks worse because 2006 happened.

God I hate the 12 team playoff. Ryan Day would've been fired but now we all have to pretend he's an elite coach.

college football died in 2020

Wait until LSU makes the playoffs and y'all be screaming from the rooftops about how college football is alive and well.

Normally I hate agreeing with a buckeye but watching these rantards step all over their dicks with easily accessible data on recent games is pretty funny

It’s easy to take the opposing side when an SEC fanboy is on the other end

Why can’t we just do the top 12 teams? No automatic qualifiers. Just use the old BCS formula or develop a new one + take the teams ranked 1-12. Simple.
