The Phillies and Middleton would beat this current offer, and have very little money committed beyond the 2020 season.

3/90 is a huge lowball offer if that’s even true. Nothing to lose for the Braves in trying I guess

This aged well.

There was a report this weekend SD had offered him like 8/250. I don’t think him or Harper would have ever seriously considered a short term deal because they didn’t need to, but if you were doing one the premium is gonna be more than that.

Christ almighty. Why not just give him an ownership stake in the club?

He could run it better than Arte Moreno does. That dude makes Jon Daniels look like a genius.

That Braves offer, if true, must have been months ago. Machado would have no where to play with the Donaldson signing and Swanson under contract. They would have to move on from Swanson, obviously, but I don't see them doing that yet.

Any sober person who follows baseball would sit Swanson down on the bench or find a deal for him if you can get Manny Machado for 3/90mm

Doubt he wants any part of free agency at this point with the obvious collusion going on to lower player salaries

Trout is off to the best career start of anybody ever. He's in his own league in terms of production and value.

Id love to see him go to a big market team and play in some world series.

When Mike Trout retires, he’ll retire as the second greatest player in baseball history behind only The Babe.

He’s that good, and it isn’t debatable
