good deal. good pitcher.

Too bad Nick Monica decided to hold on the runner on 2nd base AFTER he let practically double steal uncontested, which led to the 2 run single

Rummel lacked attention to detail on the bases, as well as holding runners.
on more than 1 occasion, the 1st baseman for Barbe was playing literally in the OF with 2 outs. Yet Rummel runners on 1B only got normal leads.
they also didnt hold runners for shite. Though Sinibaldi battled his arse off.
When Cecchini was on 2nd and they kept trying to pick him off, as soon as he got up from his slide, he'd get right off the base. How did no one notice this? the fielder could easily faked the throw back to the pitcher and held it for a second, and tagged him out. He was being that cocky.

Im pretty sure one of them was about one of the rummel players girlfriend.
Actually it was the Rummel student section that was hollering lewd and inappropriate things about the Barbe players girlfriends, but I'm not suprised because they did that in every game of the tournament.

And Rummel fans are generally courteous.
Also incorrect. I can't even count the number of "F you" I heard coming out of that fan base that were directed to the Barbe players.
I watched every game at that tournament, and Rummel by far have the worst fans ever. It all started when Barbe was taking pregame and it lasted all the way to the last out. I'll make a short list of things that came out of the Rummel fan section:
1.) Lewd inappropriate comments directed to females in the Barbe section, about female genitalia.
2.) Racist remarks directed towards two Barbe players every time they came to bat.
3.) Cursing the Barbe first base coach every time he walked by.
4.) Calling out Barbe players girlfriends every time a Barbe player went to bat.
Barbe fans did not once mention anything about a student at Rummel. At the end of the game, yes they did chant "we can't hear you" at the Rummel fans and #2 did parade the trophy in front of the fans.
Rummel fans made it a point the whole tournament to single out players on other teams and make inappropriate comments to them during the games.

Cecchini cocky.
No way !
I'm sure he'll do as well as the rest of the highly touted/drafted Barbe Bucs ?

weren't you the same guy defending zachary in that fight because they didn't throw the 1st punch?

Yes because they did not throw the first punch. Not sure why that is relevant.

I said generally courteous. I didn't hear any of that, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen.
I heard and saw the barbe fans and coaches/players acting like douches.
I watched my first Barbe game in 1998 and nothing has changed.

Also Im just realizing Quinn and Fontenot were the 2 studs on the LLWS teams. I know Quinn is a 2 sport star and will be LSU material in at least baseball. What about Fontenot?
Anyone have their stats for the year?

Well, to be fair Zachary did get reinstated also.
Posted on 5/13/12 at 8:39 pm to Lester Earl
Isn't Fontenot the QB? A bit short, but put up good numbers.

Yes. He is QB, and the two brothers (left fielder and DH) play defense for the Bucs. Fans were saying they have a very talented football team retruning as well......almost going as far as saying they will be state champs in football too......right up until WM knocks them out again.

Fontenot is the qb and if he were taller he would have every D1 school sending him letters. Also the Jordan twins and Leger (today's starting pitcher) along with Nick Abshire were also on the LL World Series team. Barbe loses Friday starter and Butler plus yesterday's starter is a jr that will have Tommy John surgery so not sure on his status next year. Other than that they only lose the SS and 1B so yes they are really young as long as they get some pitchers to step up.

Fontenot led them in hitting, .437 with 5 HRs.
30 pts higher than Cecchini.
Quinn only hit .289

The coaches son was using a wooden bat? Has he done this all year?
