I guess watching a game sober really allows you to notice how irrational some fans are

On another play they call false start and blow the play dead, and rummel went ahead and threw a short pass. MHS played through and tackled the guy. They let Mandy decline the penalty and made rummel punt on 4th down. Instead of replaying the down and assessing the penalty?

When I say the refs ruined it, I mean they could barely keep up with the plays. They were slow and fat and always out of position. I don't watch much HS football. But on one play rummel was on offense, they called encroachment on them. On another play they call false start and blow the play dead, and rummel went ahead and threw a short pass. MHS played through and tackled the guy. They let Mandy decline the penalty and made rummel punt on 4th down. Instead of replaying the down and assessing the penalty? I don't know. They were just bad all around

You are right in that sense. I was thinking you were meaning your statement as a way of saying Rummel was screwed out of a larger victory. But, I'm glad you cleared that up, because I agree with you on the quoted text. I was perplexed that they allowed Mandeville to accept a penalty after they had denied it and called TO. It's amazing that these chumps are out there for a semi final game.

You'll be there next week I assume?

I have a final that lets out at noon. I have to go get a new phone and I'll be en route to the dome.

St. Pauls didn't mind playing Curtis this year on a minutes notice. Hell, schools from Florida and Maryland want to play Curtis, yet the team from up the road won't play them. A little funny.

Actually Curtis really wants to schedule Rummel, Rummel just can never "find an open date." Why would Curtis, who played Hoover when they were number 1, be worried about playing a school that can barely beat Mandeville?

Rummel would get housed by Curtis more than likely. Why go outside your classification to get overpowered by a better team that you don't have to play really. Not sure if it would hurt a team's seeding for the playoff bracket since there not in 5A but if so then you can add that to the reasons why it would be pretty pointless.
