YOU MAY NOT WANT TO SEE THIS...

#Royals Nick Loftin just took a rocket throw from his own pitcher directly to the nuts.

On a bunt down the third-base line, Royals pitcher Daniel Lynch IV fired an absolute LASER to third that drilled Loftin flush between the legs.

Loftin immediately collapsed to the ground in obvious agony, rolling in pain.

Loftin remained down for several minutes before being helped off the field and removed from the game.

One of the most painful plays you'll see all season.

He'll probably wear a cup from now on, unless there's nothing left to protect.

Not many players wear a cup besides catchers

blaming the pitcher for throwing a rocket is crazy, the runner still beat the throw even if that is caught. The pitcher had no real time to aim

That was far from a “rocket throw”, looks like the third baseman is an unathletic beta male unfit for high high level baseball and high pressure situations.

Looked like the 3rd baseman just whiffed to me. The throw wasn't that hard. The amatuer scorekeeper in me says error at 3rd.

Played 3B through college

I never knew another 3B that didn’t wear one. That’s just stupid. What are you trying to prove?

“It just bothers me.” Then you get a real nut shot and that decision flashes before your eyes for hours.

I played 2B and SS in college. I wouldn't be caught dead without a cup. No way in hell was I rolling without some protection for the nads.

Baseballs have this innate ability to find the nutsack.

Just watching that clip, the pitcher really had no play at third, rocket or not. I bet the 3B was expecting him to eat it, but was still covering. Surprise!
