Tiger never yucked it up with his opponents either. Ben Hogan played mind games with his opponents. So did Walter Hagen.

He used to give putts early in match play events and then make his opponents putt them late.
He didn’t talk to them, but still played head games.

Same thing happened with Tiger. “He’ll never win again.” And then he won at East Lake. Then he won the Masters, and the response then was “well if everyone else didn’t play bad”
You just have to accept that if a player someone else doesn’t like goes out and wins, those people will do whatever they can to discredit the win as not being that great.
