Rondo is a pretty legit crazy person

Rondo made what he said will be his only statement on the fight, and it's a pretty delusional one.
So Rondo approached Paul, walked right up to him and got in Paul's face to tell him to get the F out of here? Then after starting the confrontation with Paul, spits on Paul(intentional or not, he spit on him) then says Paul ignited the incident?
Ok then.

quote:
"This is the only time I'm going to address this," Rondo told ESPN on Tuesday. "I had a mouthpiece in my mouth and I exasperated because I was about to tell him to 'get the [expletive] out of here.'
quote:
They don't want to believe he's capable of taunting and igniting an incident.

quote:Just a hunch, he probably said that because you spit on him.
After the [expletive] goes down, within 30 seconds, you run and tell the sideline reporters that I spit on you?
quote:WTF is he talking about?
"Trying to blame me without being accountable for anything he did to provoke the situation."

There was a shooter on the grassy knoll

I'm leading toward unintentional spit based on Paul's reaction. If someone really put a legit loogie on my face I'd probably do more than poke them in the face, and I think it would have been a more demonstrative reaction from Paul. I think CP3 wanted a reason to go after Rondo and the spit (and I don't think it was intentional) gave him a reason to.
Rondo is a legit crazy person though. You're right about that.

I thought it started with Ingram, but that is just me.
I still am a little confused as to why Ingram went after Harden..
Harden say something to his soft arse?

quote:In fairness, I think what Paul was doing was wiping the spit off his face and putting it back in Paul's face. If you're trying to avoid fighting at all costs, I'd think that's a pretty solid/demonstrative reaction.

quote:Wait, what? You realize Rondo walked up to CP3 and started the confrontation, right? He ran up on CP3 then spit on him(maybe intentional) and you think CP3 was the one wanting a reason to fight?

quote:I mean, they both are, but Rondo is just crazier, as evidenced by this incident and his comments on it after the fact.

I forgot who said it but it was summed up perfectly. They said if I had to pick 1 person in the NBA I think would spit on someone, that person would be Rondo. If I had to pick one person in the NBA that is most likely to be spit on, that would be Chris Paul.

Chris Paul literally yelled into Rondo's face right when it happened "dont you spit on me".
Pretty delusional indeed.

So because Paul didnt react the way you wanted it's his fault?

Rondo has had tons of issues during his NBA career with coaches and other players, which is why he doesn't stay anywhere long, and its Paul's fault?
I think you just dont like Chris Paul.

He ran up on CP3
c'mon shell. this didnt happen. Rondo did not approach CP3 aggressively
Cp3 said something to rondo. Not sure what. On top of that, something could have happened earlier in the game to spark this.

quote:He certainly approached CP3 and instigated the confrontation, that's really not up for debate to be honest. That's what happened.

quote:Nah. 1:52 ish mark.

CP3 is paying Rondo no attention and clearly looking/yelling at the ref when Rondo walks up on Paul
quote:Sure, that doesn't make Rondo's comments any less delusional. Also, something could have happened earlier in the game that makes Rondo look even worse too, so until we hear that, that point is irrelevant.

We have a different definition of "running up" on someone.

His explanation does not seem that delusional. Especially since he explains why spit got on CP3. I don't really care about the other stuff. Nothing was going to happen until CP3 got wet

I'm assuming Paul did something to him in the game at some point before he walked up to him to tell him to "get the frick out of here".

quote:We good now?
You realize Rondo walked up to CP3
quote:Telling the guy to get the frick out of here that you walked up to to start shite, then accusing the guy of instigating the fight after you spit on...kinda delusional.
His explanation does not seem that delusional.

Rondo and Paul have never liked each other. How long have you known Rondo as a player, you actually think he HAD to have a reason to walk up to someone he doesn't like to shite talk? Seriously? I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm sure they were both doing shite to each other all game, but if I'm a betting man, it's a safe bet Rondo walked up to Paul just to stir the pot because that's kinda what Rondo does.

We get it, you're a Paul-stan. Rondo is an a-hole, but he's just saying that Paul is an a-hole, too.

But it's absolutely possible that he had a mouth full of spit and it accidentally came out when he was getting ready to say FFFfrick.
I'd put it at a 17% chance that it was unintentional.

An intense basketball is nasty with sweat, spit, and everything else. Paul chose that moment to be offended. It was obvious it was not intentional just by the way it went down.
