Nobes had a point though. So far everything look great on paper, but Houston fans shouldn't start sucking eaching others dicks quite yet.

Strictly in terms of talent and potential, I would go with Artest. But in terms of an investment and guaranteed return on the move, I would actually side with Posey on this one. I really like Artest as a player, but even when the guy is on his best behavior, there's always the feeling of "how long will it last?"

while i agree, artest isn't under contract for as long as posey is. i think he's in the last year of his deal

this mitigates the "he's a crazy mothefricker" worry

I was sayign the Hornets would go further than the Rockets (I was right)

once Yao got hurt, so did I. LE kept saying the Rockets wouldn't even make the playoffs.

They just improved a team that won 55 games last year, with their 2nd best players missing 30 or so games.

Injuries is a concern, but they already had TMac and Yao, not much they can do about the injury risk at this point. They gave up next to nothing for him. He is a sick defender now on a team that was already a good defensive team and he can score. There is no reason to think this won't improve a team that won 55 last year.

They gave up a bag of balls! green was 17-50 after scoring 40pts in one summer league game and what else a 27th pick maybe.Artest is a great defensive stopper and Battier is top 5 def stopper the rockets are loaded!

ok, what about this one:

Avg. number of games played per year

Artest: 48.6 (11 years)
Posey: 66.3 (10 years)

even if you discount the 04-05 season when Artest appeared in only 7 games due to suspension, his average is still only 52.8

Much better, that might spell for a disaster with injury prone guys like McGrady and Yao.

No comparison between the 2 fan bases on this board. The Hornets board would rival the rant if ever created.
