Hot take: Tom benson should get in before either of them for basically rebuilding a dying Canton and keeping the hall alive.

Jones has hurt the cowboys on the field with his meddling ,more than he helped them. And all Kraft did was turn everything over to Belechik.

Florio said they made so many enemies with their arrogance the last two decades that this is people getting their pound of flesh by jerking around Kraft. For real, it would be terrible if he dies before getting the call.

Eddie D redefined the Owner-Player dynamic
Jerry was one of the most influential commercial forces in the history of the league
Kraft hired Belichick. The entire “Patriot Way” is Bill

Not going to shite on him like he’s a bad owner but Kraft’s contribution to football is really limited to the Patriots and he was mostly along for the ride with the GOAT tandem at Coach-QB. It makes sense he wouldn’t be prioritized

Jerry Jones was inducted into the HOF for the same reasons Phil Knight was inducted into the basketball HOF.

They sold the game and grew its fans and profit margins.

Dallas was one of, if not the marquee franchise BEFORE Jones bought it. He brought them back to the top in the early/mid 90's, but hasn't done anything since. Dallas hasn't even made an NFC championship game in nearly 30 years. To put that in context, every NFC team except for Washington has reach the NFC championship game since Dallas last made it.

Juxtapose that with Kraft who bought a historically bad franchise who in that same 30 year period since Dallas last reached a conf. championship game has the most Super Bowl appearances in NFL history and id tied for the most championships in NFL history.

Jones didn't really grow the game, as much as he simply kept one of its marquee franchises in public eye...mostly as the object of ridicule by people wondering why a franchise who has won nothing in 30 years continues to get so much publicity. His impact on the NFL isn't remotely comparable to Knight's impact on basketball.

Knight signed Jordan and used Jordan's ability to market a basketball player and shoe company like never before. Prior to Nike and Jordan, the NBA was largely irrelevant among the major sports. So much so that NBA Finals games were routinely shown on tape delay. The Lakers/Celtics rivalry in the 80's helped change that, but even that didn't have the massive marketing appeal that Nike and Jordan generated. Nike made Jordan a worldwide mega-star and in the process took sneakers from a utilitarian product to a fashion statement. Particularly basketball shoes. For the first time in history having the "right" shoes became a huge deal in basketball. No one cares about the shoes in baseball or football. Nike made shoes vitally important in basketball.

Has anyone been to the Pro HoF in Canton?

It is an absolute grift. They charge you $30 to park and then $45 for an adult and $40 for a child for entry.

All the front line employees are volunteers (no expense to the HoF) and they have a corporate sponsors for every tired/dated exhibit that they have.

If you look at their 990, that big oaf, C. David Baker, who was previously convicted of check forgery made a salary of $986k in 2022. He is the one that always showed up on TV to let someone know they are being inducted.

Than there are some suspicious salaries going to Antony Munoz and Warren Moon + Others.

There is no honor in being associated with that building and how it fleeces visitors with a dated product.

His arrogance assumes he gets in.

Problem is his pushy and continuous 10-year campaign to get in that has annoyed HOF voters.

He got Belichick who was lucky to take a flyer on Brady before Mr. Irrelevant was picked. Maybe Putin can induct him into the Russian HOF and Kraft can steal his ring back. Funny how he stole a SB and that exact ring was stolen by Russia.

Jones headed up the TV negotiations that brought the windfall of cash. Cash wins.
