Clayton was a casualty of the great ESPN Purge of 2017, right? He was a solid NFL insider.

Of course. Color and gender of reports is more important than skills

Guys like Clayton made ESPN worth watching. Tip of the cap to the Professor.

Yep. Back when I could watch ESPN for 16 hours straight. One thing I loved about John Clayton was that when he was done talking he never knew what to do with his mouth. He'd sit there with this frozen half smile half open confused look on his face and it always made me laugh

I don't remember that. I always enjoyed the 4 Downs Sportscenter segment with Clayton and Salisbury.

Sean hosts a morning sports talk show on 790 radio in Houston. He's pretty good, a fun listen in the morning. About 10 years now.

Well, that's a shame. I always liked that dude. He was good at his job and is a throwback to when ESPN actually cared about sports instead of social justice nonsense. RIP.

It's amazing how many shitty people they kept over him in that purge.

When ESPN was entertaining. Before the twitter driven hysteria.
