My favorite Dodger pitcher when I was a kid. I remember him coming out of the bullpen as a reliver in the playoffs, the game after starting.

That sucks. I grew up watching Don, Pete, Skip and Joe. I can't tell you how many hours I watched with those guys. It's so weird that three of them are gone.

This really sucks.

Dude was a HUGE part of my childhood along with the other TBS Braves' press box guys.

Damn.

Had several bud heavies with Don Sutton in Orange Beach about 20 years ago. Very nice man and was fantastic on TBS with the rest of the crew.

I'm aware.

I was 2 when he retired as a pitcher so only experienced him as a color guy on TBS and sometimes play-by-play guy on Braves' radio.

Born in Clio, Alabama, and grew up around Pensacola, pitched for Tate High. According to Sports Illustrated, he lost only one game as a high school pitcher, 1-0, to Foley High from Alabama. He struck out 14, Foley pitcher struck out 16. Y'all might have heard of the Foley pitcher. Name was Stabler.

I came along at the time where I got to see Sutton pitch for everybody. I remember him for about three years with LA. Then to Houston, Milwaukee, Oakland, and California. Of course, then he was the Braves analyst on TBS. Always liked Sutton as a pitcher and announcer. RIP poodle doo.
