Although the ultimate team player, Tebow is also a 'football-aholic' who craves to be a starting quarterback in the NFL. And, according to a league source, a permanent backup role to Mark Sanchez could lead to him to request a trade

Until he says it himself, I'm not believing an article that uses "Could" as its word to talk about Tebow leaving.

Not real funny imo. Dude is a competitor and wants to be on the field.

there is nothing wrong with that, he's a competitor and wants another shot to start. Will he get that shot is the question thou

I could see him ending up back in Florida at either Tampa Bay or Jacksonville and finishing out his career.

Actually, he is a Cleveland type of tough running player; however, Colt McCoy needs to be QB they stand behind for now.

It might be good for the Jets just to leave Tebow on the bench, if Sanchez week 1 performance is any indicator. Seems the competition made him step it up a notch.

Any team that would trade for him to be their starting QB would officially be the worst run franchise of all time

For the last two years Tebow was hyped as the guy who is most UNLIKE all those guys who request trades and don't want to be a distraction.

He promoted himself on being the ultimate team guy and the guy without much of an ego.

Some of us were called "Tebow haters" because we felt that the image was false.

Lots of guys in lots of sports who aren't good enough wanted to be the starter and pouted/requested trades to try and fulfill that desire.

This isn't funny. It would be funny if Tebow announced that he was content in life because God told him to be the backup of one of the worst QBs in the league.

What's so funny? He just wants to play. Only one QB can be on the field. It's not like he's some bitchy prima donna WR complaining about not getting the ball enough.

there's this, and the fact that any other player doing the same thing is labeled as selfish, anti-team, etc.

So am I, doesn't make me an NFL caliber qb any more than it does Tebow.

He needs to see the writing on the wall and switch positions before he finds himself out of the league.

Why is this a story, and who is reporting on something that "could" happen 5 months from now????

Can someone please give me an update on what Chase Daniels agent is thinking? What about Jimmy Clausen's agent, what are their plans for next off-season??

So a rumor comes out and justifies a fake image? And if he waits till off season and does.t cause a fuss isn't that still being a team player?

Do people honestly believe the articles in the New York backpages?

The New York media is all about selling papers and manufacturing storylines. They'll love you one minute and turn on you just as quickly.
