Is there still an FBS stadium capacity requirement? McNesse would have to do some renovations.
The current stadium capacity is sufficient. The average attendance over the last 3 years, however, would not meet the minimum required if what I found was correct. I looked at it about a month or so ago, and I don't remember what the FBS requirement is or what McNeese averaged, but I remember us being under the number.

The early nineties to mid 2000s were a golden era for McNeese
They had the best environment in FCS. I remember waking up on a Saturday morning and the whole tailgate area was packed with RVs. Nobody wanted to come play in Lake Charles. And they did not have a big name coach

Yep. I was in middle school at the time, but 2000-2002 were some amazing seasons.
I don't know that we can ever get back to that, which is why I've always felt a move to the FBS would be a bad one for McNeese.
Nobody wants to come to Lake Charles anymore, but it's not because McNeese is a force on the gridiron.

Sorry no one is inviting SELA to their tea party.

Don't care...we run the conference now...
But have an upvote anyway because, well, it's true...
