A lot of yall are eating crow now. I was downvoted to hell at the beginning of the season because I said the Braves will defend their division title.

The irony is the Nationals might make the postseason without that albatross contract. Case in point, Harper is vastly overrated.

He is 26 with 31 hrs this year. He is still a few years off before hitting his prime years. All reports is he is a great team mate and great guy off the field. You trolling.

What reports are you reading? He was an arse when he was in the minors and was the same arrogant prick his first couple of years with the Nats. To the point that they had to put him with a veteran leader to show him how to be a normal person in the clubhouse.

I was very excited about the Phillies this year and had high expectations. They suffered a lot of injuries (McCutch, Bruce, Robinson, Herrera (off the field)) and coupled with terrible management resulted in a terrible year compared to what the expectations were. Looking back at the beginning of the year, idk how I could not see the glaring problems the management never addressed in regards to pitching. The lack of pitching the Phillies had this year was pitiful, other than Nola. Arrieta was not good this year, and all of the other guys (Eflin, Pivetta, Velazquez) were mediocre at their very best. The bullpen was absolutely atrocious all year.
Not really that upset about the Harper deal, as he has had a very good year in regards to offensive production (102 RBIs). What I am upset about is the lack of pitching this team had going into the season and was not address until after the all star break (adding Smyly and Vargas).

Bryce Harper had a very solid season. The Phillies pitching and lack of offensive production with runners on base is what crushed the Phillies this year.

I mean...he was a teenager in the minors and couldn't even legally drink yet in his first couple of years with the Nats.
