I still hit up the Shoneys in Jennings when I'm passing through. Mostly for the nostalgia. It's like walking back in time to 1989 and I love it.
There's one in the north metro Atlanta area that reopened. It's owned by the one and only Scott Steiner.

I can remember going as a family and dining in at Pizza Hut
We would have a waiter and everything.
There's still a couple of sit down Pizza Huts in south Georgia. They still have the lunchtime buffet too.

I remember that too. I spent a few birthdays there. Ours had a couple arcade games too. At that age it was a big deal because my family didn't eat out much then. Now, Pizza Hut or McDonald's is the last place I want to go.
I moved out to Cali in 2003. I remember going to a tiny Pizza Hut lobby in a shopping center with nowhere to sit down with my meal and thinking "damn, times have really changed".

I went to a pizza joint last year (not Pizza Hut) that still had a sit down Pac Man arcade game. The decor of the place looked like you just went through a time warp back to 1991. They still had some old big screen box TV on showing the game. Good pizza too.

What did it take to get one of those basketballs?

I remember Church's chicken giving away basketballs like this around that same time period but nobody else seems to remember those.

Until about two months ago, the pizza hut in my hometown still had the big, sit down booths and the arcade games in the lobby.
They remodeled it last month and apparently complete ruined it.
No more waiters, no more arcades, no more huge red booths... Apparently it looks like a cheap Buffalo Wild Wings now and the service is shite.
I always loved going in there when I visited because it was like stepping back into my childhood and the pizza was phenomenal... Apparently now... Its been destroyed.
