I was just about to post that. The Pats brought him in for a workout, he ran a 4.27 and they were good, didn't need to see anything else.

If he had Rice's work ethic, the world would be in awe.

No question about it. He would have been the Lebron James of football.

I think it was either a 4.29 or a 4.30, but that's still absurd considering he was 30 years old at the time. He must have been at least a mid 4.2 guy in his younger days (you cant say his prime, considering he broke the nfl td record only a couple of years ago and just came off a 1000+ 10+ season).

Rice, while great, was the product of a system. IMHO

I don't see other west coast WRs putting up Rice type numbers.

And, played at a different time.

When the rules were tougher on WRs to put up big numbers.

I honestly think Peyton Manning of all people has benefitted the most from the NFL. Can you imagine the numbers Marino would have put up if he had played inside a dome in this no touching the receivers era today? It would have been absurd.

I'm an LSU fan, but I grew up watching the local Toledo Rocket football games. I remember watching the Toledo/Marshall game when Moss was there. He was a man among boys to put it lightly. It was a joke, no competition at all for him.

He had to have been 4.3 maybe high 4.2.
